Program Overview

Purpose To recognize individuals whose achievements and contributions have significantly advanced scientific and technological progress and the industrial development of the carbon materials field.
Target Individuals who have made significant contributions to the industrialization of research, or who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in product development or commercialization.
Award Certificate and Prize of JPY 1 Million

Candidates must have established achievements or demonstrated significant contributions within the eligible fields.

Individuals from universities, research institutes, or industry in Japan with internationally recognized achievements in research, commercialization, or industrial development related to carbon materials.

The prize will be paid directly to the award recipient. At the recipient's request, it may be provided to a university, research institute, or company as research funding.
