Purpose<\/th>\nTo contribute to the advancement of academic research in Japan by supporting fundamental and applied research on carbon materials and related technologies.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Target<\/th>\nFull-time researchers conducting independent research at universities, affiliated research institutes, inter-university research institutes, colleges of technology, or public research institutions in Japan.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Award<\/th>\nThe program provides a total of JPY 30 million in funding, with grants of up to JPY 3 million per project.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n\n

Affiliation and Position<\/h3>\n

\n Full-time researchers affiliated with an eligible institution and conducting independent research.
\n For fixed-term researchers, employment during the first year of the grant period must be expected.
\n Project researchers and postdoctoral researchers are eligible, provided there are no restrictions on their acceptance of external research funding.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

\n Applicants must be under 40 years of age at the time of application.
