1941<\/th>\nTeruo Kondo, father of Teruhisa Kondo, founded Kondo Carbon Works in Nishi-Yodogawa, Osaka.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1946<\/th>\nTeruhisa Kondo joined Kondo Carbon Works.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1949<\/th>\nTeruhisa Kondo was appointed President, \n\nand the company name was changed to Toyo Tanso Co., Ltd.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1994<\/th>\nThe Kondo Scholarship Foundation was established in Mitoyo, Kagawa Prefecture, through an endowment from Teruhisa Kondo. The Foundation was approved as an incorporated foundation under the jurisdiction of the Kagawa Prefectural Board of Education and selected its first scholarship recipients from industrial high schools, colleges of technology, and universities in Kagawa Prefecture.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2004<\/th>\nScholarship eligibility was expanded to students in non-technical fields.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2010<\/th>\nThe scholarship program was expanded to include universities and graduate schools in the Keihanshin region.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2013<\/th>\nThe Board of Directors and Council approved the addition of a Research Grant Program and the nationwide expansion of the Foundation\u2019s activities, subject to approval for transition to Public Interest Incorporated Foundation status.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2013<\/th>\nThe Foundation received certification from the Cabinet Office to transition to Public Interest Incorporated Foundation status.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2014<\/th>\nThe Foundation was registered as a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2014<\/th>\nThe Research Grant Program was launched.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2016<\/th>\nRenamed Kondo Memorial Foundation.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2018<\/th>\nThe Academic Advancement Support Program was launched.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2023<\/th>\nThe Kondo Memorial Foundation Award (Research Achievement Award Program) was launched.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
